Who may be eligible The Utility Relief Grant Scheme (URGS) helps low-income households who can’t pay their utility account.

A single income household earning $2,000 or less a fortnight

A dual income household earning $3,038 or less a fortnight

And have also experienced one or more of the following:

A recent drop in income or job loss

You, or someone in your household has experienced family violence

Unexpected high costs for essential items

4. Reason for your application

This is a mandatory section. You need to meet at least one of the four criteria listed in the application form (or see above in "Who may be eligible"). So, please make sure you complete the options that apply to you and include as much information as you can.

5. Documentation

If applying due to decreased income or unexpected expenses you may need to include your last 3 payslips or a bank statement.

1.Contact us on 1300 658 519 to request a Medical Confirmation Form.

2.Ask your doctor to sign the form and confirm that you need the equipment.
